Our department was just re-org'd (which I knew was going to happen because I was told the day before yesterday, and made to promise by my boss that I wouldn't say anything until after they announced it to the rest of the department yesterday afternoon).
Today I got the nitty-gritty details... Turns out I got a big "promotion" I guess you could call it... but without the monetary gain or recognition. What good is a promotion without the fame and fortune? And how the heck did I get put in charge of everything when I have spent so very little time working here?
More on this later. After I take some time to wrap my head around this.
