Just spoke with my mother. Her CT scan results are back and it's looking good. The suspicious looking spots turned out to be nothing... probably a result of a past pneumonia infection. Yay!
I figured it was nothing to worry about all along, but it's good to know for sure.

LOL... no... I think it's just somebody's idea of a bad pun. The kibble is what probably lured poor Fluffy onto the scanner to begin with.
