The drive home

I am really starting to hate driving stick on the 401 across Mississauga.

Granted, some people may call me lucky because I only drive the length of two exits and it's always in the opposite direction of the major traffic (the exodus into and out of Toronto for those suckers who work downtown and live in the 'burbs). Still I have to complain about this because when I first moved here I was still driving the old trusty (automatic) Honda, and I'm used to quiet sleepy little cities like London or Waterloo or even Sarnia (not Narnia).

Today I drove in 1st gear from Mavis to Hurontario and it took me 10 minutes. It's like these people have never seen rain before. God help us all when the first snow comes.
